For those of you who do not know what the Golden Rule is, it's to 'treat others as you wish to be treated' meaning do not harass, abuse, or make another member feel unwelcome. All members have a right to be here so respect that fact. » Staff are here to serve the members, seeing as the site is nothing without the members, but please remember that staff do have powers and responsibilities. If they tell you that you need to fix something or give you a warning, take it seriously and please try to fix whatever you're doing wrong. If you are unsure about a staff's behavior, please PM Syrinx. » Swearing is only allowed in character and at minimal use. Please do not try to swear every post or I'll think you are abusing this privilege. Swearing is NOT allowed in the c-box or out of character though. » Please no chat speak in or out of character and only minimum in the C-box (such as brb, bbl, g2g, lol, etc) but try not to make full sentences out of chat speak just to prove that you can. » Spamming will not be tolerated on this site and for those of you who are wondering, double-posting does count as spam unless in a board directed otherwise (such as the tracking board). If you are waiting for your character to be accepted by staff, please do not reply saying it's done or ready, either say so in the chat box (if one is online) or give them a PM. »» If your bio is not finished with, please put either [ND] or [WIP] in the title so staff know. When you are done, either just get rid of the [WIP] or [ND] or you can put [Finished] in the title if you want to just to make sure staff see it. X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X Character Accounts» This is an account per character site! For every character you wish to create, you need to have a separate account for them. It is also mandatory that you have an out of character account to keep track of your characters on and to reply to out of character threads with. »» For those of you who would be turned away from the site because of this last point, I know where you are coming from. Previously I found it a pain to log in and out of different accounts, but I found something very useful that could help change that. Located here is an enormously useful tool given to us by the creators of Ptoboards! With it you can log into all your accounts no matter the site and even multiple accounts on one site. When you create an account on it, you just need to log into your accounts of different sites there and when you click "view forum" on a certain account, it'll automatically log you into that account! Not only that, but the site also keeps track of your PMs on all your accounts. It's a nice tool and I recommend you take advantage of it.» Signatures must be smaller than 500 (width) by 300 (height). If you do not know how big that is, PM Syrinx and she'll let you know. Avatars should stay 150x250 or smaller, but try to keep the width at 150px, if possible. » The amount of characters you have at one time is opened up to unlimited, but they all must be active. We will have character checks along with member checks every now and again to make sure all characters are active, so please be aware of this and don't go too over-board. » Account names should match that of the character in which you are creating for that account. You can put extra symbols in the name, but please make sure the name is still easily readable and people don't have to decipher it at all. X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X In Character» As you have seen on most other role-play sites, god-modding and power-playing are not allowed and will not be tolerated. If you have permission from the owner of another character to kill off their character, please PM Syrinx about it. If you have permission to role-play a character in the case of a member's absence, PM Syrinx about that as well. » Liquid-time (posting a character in more than one thread at a time) is allowed, but please do not go crazy and post in five threads with the same character. However, the threads must happen in a certain time order and you should be able to tell me which one happens first (usually the one you posted in first). » If your characters fight in character, it'll be up to the members how they decide to go about the fight and how to decide who wins (usually if you start a fight, you should know ahead of time who wins and who loses). Fights should not reach the out of character board. » For the length of posts, nothing shorter than 150 words is recommended, but staff do not want to be dictators when it comes to looking at pots and making sure they follow a minimum requirement. We do recommend though that you try to match the amount being posted by the person you are RPing with, just to make it fair. » All characters must be accepted before you role-play. No exceptions and if a staff member asks you to revise something in your bio, they'll give you a reason and you should probably just listen and fix it, otherwise it'll take longer for your character to be accepted. » All posts in character must be made in third person and past tense, but you can write your bio in first person if you wish; just let me know somewhere in the bio that you are aware that you do have to RP that character in third person so I know you read this part of the rules and are aware of the difference. » Force-breeding is very rare on the site, seeing as there is really no need to it since she-cats are seen as only around for mating with anyway. Of course you must have permission from the RPer of the she-cat though, if you wish to have your male mate with the she-cat to produce kits. Loners may have a chance to create force-breeding especially with another loner, just please make sure to PM Syrinx FIRST to gain permission, seeing as she doesn't want it to happen too often. » When you are ready to have a litter, you must post a thread with the bio form in the kit board found here. After posting with that form, Syrinx will reply with the number of kits, the health, the shifting form, and the gender of the kits and you may choose the personality, who RPs what kit, which kits are open for adoption, and their appearances...but their appearance should fit their parent's appearances. |
